Vinyasa Yoga with Cathy MacConnachie
Come practice with one of Nanaimo's most sought after yoga teachers!
Cathy teaches an "alignment-based vinyasa" class. Her priority is to teach the safest alignment for your joints, bones and muscles so that you can continue to practice yoga throughout your lifetime. She strives to offer difinitive verbal cues to encourage proper alignment in each posture and she provides modifications for yoga students of all levels. She contributes hands-on adjustments to help you find your ideal expression in your poses and she creates creative sequencing that move you from one sequence to the next in a flowing vinyasa practice that in both challenging and playful.

Kundalini Yoga Intro Series with Brenda Green
Kundalini Yoga uses a set of physical exercises (kriyas), along with breathing techniques, sound (mantra), hand gestures (mudras)
hand positions (mudras), and body locks (the contraction of specific muscle groups to balance and strengthen all the systems of the body, with particular focus on strengthening the nervous system and balancing the endocrine system.
This dynamic form of yoga has immediate positive effects regardless of your age or fitness level. Some benefits include: reduced stress, improved sleep, balanced emotions, increased mental and physical energy, increased lung capacity, weight control, greater self confidence, enhanced creativity, increased will power and ability to change old habits, and a centered calm heart and mind.
